Frequently Asked Questions

Peerwave is designed for young people aged 17 to 45 who are ready to take meaningful steps in their personal development. Whether you’re transitioning from school, navigating early adulthood, or looking for a fresh start, we offer supportive, age-matched groups where you’ll feel understood—not left behind.

Outcome: You’ll connect with peers who “get it,” so you can grow alongside people at a similar stage in life—with no pressure to “keep up.”

Absolutely. Peerwave is specifically built with neurodiversity in mind. Our programs are ideal for those with Level 2 ASD or moderate intellectual disability, but we welcome individuals with Level 3 Autism too—especially if you’re eager to grow and want to be part of something meaningful.

We provide tailored support, and if one-on-one assistance is needed, we’ll help you create a pathway that suits your strengths and preferences.

Outcome: You’ll experience real growth without being rushed or overlooked. Instead of trying to “fit in,” you’ll finally feel like you belong.

We take group dynamics seriously. Before placing anyone, we get to know your interests, communication style, energy levels, and goals. This means no cookie-cutter placement—only communities that truly feel like your tribe.

We also allow you to switch focus or groups over time. You’ll even help name your group and shape its themes based on what matters to you.

Outcome: You’ll feel safe, seen, and connected—right from the start.

For eligible participants, Peerwave is fully covered under NDIS funding—so there are no out-of-pocket costs. We align with multiple support categories, including:

  • Social & Community Participation

  • Improved Daily Living Skills

  • Emotional Regulation & Capacity Building

If you’re unsure about your NDIS plan or category, we’re happy to help you navigate it.

Outcome: You can access life-changing support without the financial stress. Focus on growing—not the paperwork.

Yes, we provide comprehensive progress reports tailored to your goals. These can be used for plan reviews, capacity assessments, or team meetings, and reflect real progress in areas like social connection, emotional regulation, communication, and planning.

Outcome: You’ll have measurable, documented achievements that support your continued growth and secure ongoing support.

That’s exactly why we exist. Peerwave creates emotionally safe environments—with small groups, structured sessions, and predictable rhythms. We go slow, we listen, and we adapt.

Participants are never pushed beyond their limits. Instead, we support gradual confidence-building through activities that feel fun, familiar, and meaningful.

Outcome: Even the most hesitant individuals often leave our sessions smiling, grounded, and excited for what’s next.
